laptopLibrarySince the publication of the projects outline plans last month, the Scaling up Online Learning project is moving forward: two invitation to tenders (ITTs) are in the final stages of editing and are due to be released later this month/early next month. The first ITT relates to the scaling up online learning toolkit where we are looking for a consultant to develop the content for the toolkit, along with a clear outline of how the toolkit would need to function from a users point of view; and the second ITT relates to the online course solution where we are looking for a consultant to deliver a diagnostic tool which will assess current skills, knowledge and awareness around designing or supporting online learning courses. Both pieces of work will require the successful bidders to work closely with members of the projects Working Group and should produce some exciting deliverables for the project. If you, or someone you know, might be interested in bidding for either of these pieces of work, do get in touch and I will ensure you are on the list to receive a copy of the statement of requirements once they are published.

Work has also been undertaken in-house (by Michael Webb, Senior technology innovator at Jisc) on the development of a prototype directory of UK Online Courses, which is due to be shared with the projects working group next month for their feedback and comment – the outcomes of the workshop will be shared here on this blog following the event.

As always, if you have any queries or would like further information on any of the above, please do get in touch, either directly or by commenting below.
